Cain Isn't Able

So says Janeane Garofalo, who claims Cain's prominence in the GOP primary helps to offset questions about whether the right's intense criticism of President Obama is based in part on disgust with the idea of a black guy in the White House.




I think Garofalo, who previously suggested that Cain was being paid to run by GOP establishment figures in order to offset allegations that the party is playing to racist sentiments, is stretching things a bit. Having said that, she's not the only one arguing that there is something unseemly about how aggressively the right goes after Obama.
